Mcleod's Unionists

This is on commercial TV no less. The govt. is so boned on this issue. I'm wondering if Workchoices / Workplace / CuddlyTeddies / HappyKittens / Whatever they're calling it this week might be the longest political suicide note in history. I love how Taylor refuses to scab for Phil.

Gahhh. I saw this on Crikey and was also going to blog it!

Pure gold.

So cliche.

I laughed heartily when I heard this on the radio. It's not even political - the law doesn't have a problem with the scenario portrayed. And there is hardly a ban on high profile election issues being raised in drama.

The sweat really is starting to bead on the coconut.

Do blog it!

And yes, if McCloud's Daughters and the commercial networks are taking up the cause then I imagine there will be a change of pants all around at Liberal Party headquarters.

As Gam said "next thing you know, Kath and Kim will be sporting orange badges"

seriously, blog it everyone! or link or something, there's only a few hundred views of this vid, let's try and get it on aca or something. assuming they've gotten themselves a computer instead of naomi robson's magic 8 ball and a really big joint...

It's gold.

I hear that the HappyKittens AWAs will come with a free Hello Kitty tote bag.

Read the transcript in Crikey and heard it on JJJ but this is the first time I saw the footage. Looks like something scripted for an ALP TV ad, it's so blunt and oversimplified! But I guess it would resonate with the voters the ALP is targeting.

As if a boss would honestly be so blatant and artless about it. Try a slick 'letter from management' carefully designed to manipulate Phil and his co-workers into agreeing to worse conditions... and some covert job offers to Taylor and others being done in parallel or even in advance to cover expected losses. I guess the reality's not quite as punchy.

You're right, the reality is a lot better scripted!
