Apart from the obvious 'who the fuck cares?' response that such a claim deserves, several of John Macarthur's descendants have taken umbrage at McCulloch's use of their ancestor's place in colonial Australian history to justify the unashamedly racist campaign against the planned Islamic school in Camden.
"The Macarthurs will be proud of us," Kate McCulloch told the Herald after her successful campaign to block plans for an Islamic school at Camden.
The Reverend Kate Macneil, a "seven greats" granddaughter of the famous colonials, was writing a sermon for her Woy Woy church when she became so rankled by Ms McCulloch's comments that she wrote a letter to the Herald instead.
Members of the Macneil family told the Herald yesterday that they were incensed that Ms McCulloch had used their forebears to justify views they saw as intolerant.
The family represent a range of religious views, but are united in their commitment to religious freedom and the right of parents to send their children to faith-based schools if they choose.
Kate Macneil is an assistant deacon in the Anglican parish of Woy Woy, and her father, Finlay, is a rector's warden in the parish of Gosford. One sister, Isabella, is also a regular churchgoer, but the other, Georgina, is a Buddhist. Her mother, Sue, is agnostic and her brother, James, is atheist.
"We don't live in Camden so who are we to speak for those that live in Camden? But we disagree with attributing thoughts and words to our ancestors that we suspect they wouldn't have said," said Dr Finlay Macneil, who is unsentimental about the male patriarch.
"In fact if I had to take a guess I think John Macarthur would have been for [the school] if he could see a buck in it for him. They were open to new ideas. For a start they were in Australia and not back in England. They were of course first-generation Australians as well, and trying to maintain their particular values in a new land - so doing the very thing that would appear to me that this Islamic school was attempting to do here."
The Macneils said there were many Macarthur descendants and they did not presume to speak on behalf of the others.
But Georgina said: "For the record, we're pro the school."

I have lived in Liverpool for 49yrs and have seen its demise from the rest of Sydeny. For instance, the Global Islamic Youth Centre in the heart of Liverpool has been under Federal Police investigation after race hate D.V.D's were sold which became popular with many muslims.
The GIYC cleric, Sheil Mohammed, preached jihad to children, to kill themselves to earn there place in heaven and to join ad holy warriors, and also mentioms to his young followers that Jews are pigs.
Im 2005 Seik Feiz Mohammed made comments to other young muslims about victims of rape by saying, "No one is to blame but herself, she displayed her beauty to the entire world."
The qustion I ask is who are the rael racists?

Riiight. You can name one or two muzzies who have done bad things so therefore no-one should ever want 'teh muslim' in their neighbourhood. Well guess what, it was anglos who stuck pigs' heads on a spike in Camden, and there's plenty of race hate there. Are you saying you wouldn't want a neighbourhood full of white Australians, or would that be a tragic overgeneralisation? Because that's exactly what you're doing to Muslims.
The only way the social problems in Liverpool are related to race and religion is because there are a whole heap of disadvantaged people there and loads of young people who feel marginalised by our society and they happen to be of a particular ethnic or religious background. Gam and I live in a suburb with loads of muslim people, we've had muslim neighbours and classmates. Our area doesn't have any of those kind of problems. Why? Mainly because it's wealthy, multicultural and well-educated, and bigotry is largely relegated to the less heterogeneous suburbs.
Your suburb's problems don't stem from 'teh muslims', they stem from a combination of social marginalisation, poverty and bigotry. And yes, the bigotry might exist on both sides, but any more than I can't label every white person in Liverpool a bigot because of views like yours, you can't label every muslim in Liverpool a racist or extremist. If you could think about how you would like to be treated and apply that to everyone no matter what their colour or religion then you'd be a lot better off.
Sarah, like most lefties you really know how to put your own spin on issues like this. For a start the race hate DVD's that were being distributed at the Islamic youth centre were not to just one or two. If you care to konow about the Federal police report there were scores of these DVD's that were didtributed out to many muslims to the point where the youth centre was being used as an outlet for jihad.
This is not an isue of the colour of ones skin. Like yourself, I have many friends and work colleagues from India, Lebanon and Asia who have become very patriotic Australians because they have seen the failure of the country where they came from.
However, you are right about the social problems that are related to religion, but what you fail to understand that is because many muslims are fundamentalists and are forbiden to assimilate into western culture. One only has to look at the problems in the UK with its 4 million muslims, France and the Netherlands.
If your asking how I would like to be treated, would I be allowed to establish a Catholic school in Iran?

It is the leaders of your religion, Skeil Al-Hilali and his mate in Melbourne Sheik Omran who endorse Sharia law and show sympathy to the the Bilal Skaf and the 5 K brothers from Pakistan for the gang rape of many women in Sydney south-west.
It is your leaders who blame women for rape, comparing women to uncovered meat where the cats come to eat it, and saying they're responsible for sexual attackes to over 500 worshippers in your mosque.

Well, well well. Look at what has made todays news huh! Sheik Khalil Charmi wants polygamous marriages to be recognised under Law in Australia.
It shows the concept of Islam is outdated and many muslims still live in a "medieval period" and have not progressed one step further into a civilized world.
Can a women have more than one partner under islam? Or would she be stoned to death?
