RIP, Mrs Candy (?)

Update 20/07/2009: I have been informed, a year and a half on, that Mrs Candy is in fact alive and well! I've been asked not to share the details of the information I received, which I won't, and I have also been asked to delete this post, which I also don't intend to do. However, let the record stand corrected.

===========================

I was inspired just now, after spotting a flurry of recent hits on my post 'Bush doesn't make for bad sex', to visit The Perfect Phallus- a blog started by a lady who called herself 'Mrs Candy', where men would submit detailed photos of their 'phallus' from different angles and Mrs Candy would post them on her blog, along with commentary.

There is now a note in the sidebar:

The Perfect Phallus is dedicated to the memory of its founder, Mrs. Candy, who lost her battle with ovarian cancer on December 28, 2007, and whose love for the aesthetic beauty of the Phallus was indefatigable and unmatched.

Noooo :( Mrs Candy was a very cool lady. May TPP live on. Apparently some of her real-life friends got together to keep the website alive. It just won't be the same without her, I'm sure.

I really wish I was wearing peril sensitive sunglasses when I saw this image.

You can't blame me for that one! Although I'm sure I could use it in a post if I put my mind to it :P

I can assure you, my dears, that the news of my passing was, fortunately, absolutely untrue. Sadly, a friend of mine with whom I entrusted administrative rights on the blog, took advantage of my kindness and locked me out of the website. She then proceeded to post stories of my passing and other erroneous fictions. Thankfully, due to the fact that I was able to prove my ownwership of the website and of the US copyright to "Perfect Phallus" I was able to threaten legal action to regain control of the website after several months. Confidentiality prevents me from providing any additional details.

I look forward to welcoming both old and new readers to my blog and to my upcoming website which is scheduled for launch in September 2009.

Always,
Mrs. Candy
