This little piece on Pauline Hanson's reaction to the news that No Pokies MP Nick Xenophon has decided to return a proportion of all donations over $100 using the taxpayer's money allocated by the AEC to candidates who receive a certain number of votes made me laugh:
Nick Xenophon, the quixotic non-smoker former state MP standing as an independent for a South Australian Senate seat, plans to destroy the basis of democracy, the political donation. He wants to return Commonwealth electoral funding to supporters who gave him money to campaign.
Political parties were in shock yesterday. Pauline Hanson was incensed: she even slammed down the phone when we informed her of Xenophon's proposal to return a proportion of all donations over $100.
As you will remember, Hanson pocketed a cool $200 000 of taxpayers' money just by standing for the senate at the last election.
Touchy subject, I suppose, for someone who's always bitching about 'abos' and 'teh african menace' bludging off the Australian taxpayer.

I see nobody is complaining about the libs receiving 21 Million of tax payers funds, you single out Pauline Hanson's 200 Thousand. I call on you to push for the elimination of tax payer funded payouts to all candidates!
