I don't think 'horrified' can wholly encapsulate the reaction that the poor people who had to capture and euthanase the crow in the above picture must have had upon realising what had been done to it. There just aren't words to describe the sort of people who would carry out such a despicable and cruel act. And, even if any of the people who've carried out any of a spate of crow killings are caught, it's a safe bet that some soft-arse judge will give them a tap on the wrist and a 'stern warning'.
Oh, and what's with the ability for people to procure poison so easily? I mean "Often it's arsenic that's used, or just normal 1080"- what the hell? Should there really be any such thing as 'normal 1080' freely available to these suburban psychos? I sure don't think so.

It's horrible and did you see someone nailed live magpies to trees by their wings???? Sounds like we have a whole bunch of not quite grown up serial killers in Brisbane. Just what we want.
I didn't see any news about the magpies... that's horrible :( I really like magpies. Speaking of not-quite-grown-up serial killers, I just read something about a group of men in their 20s who've been bashing and killing koalas.
