There's big money in staying a step or two ahead of the anti-doping authorities. Just look at the BALCO scandal- someone had to post them a syringe full of THG for them to even become alert to the fact it existed. But the athletes knew. While anti-doping authorities await the next envelope, the chemists and drug cheats go about their business largely unhindered.
