This puny, mustachioed excuse for a specimen of manhood has been in the news a lot lately, thanks to his organisation being aroused by the foul stench of racism and flooding Tamworth with thousands of leaflets featuring racist, anti-refugee propaganda. Gam did a post on him last year on his old blog (incidentally, I miss Gam's posts and he's not posting here nearly often enough... take a hint, Gam!).

While we're on the topic of racism, take a look at a post Anthony made recently on the book The Fight by Martin Flanagan and Tom Uren featuring a snippet on John Howard's support for the apartheid government in South Africa:
Flanagan comparing Fraser & Howard in relation to apartheid:
An examination of Fraser's record reveals he spoke out against apartheid in the Australian parliament in the early 1960s. By contrast, John Howard was opposed to economic and sporting boycotts of the apartheid regime as late as the 1980s. Not only that, when fronted by a journalist, Howard admitted he had arrived at his policy position without discussing the matter with a single black South African... It's an important story since Howard is rarely challenged in any elementary way by journalists any more.
Emulating the policies of Margaret Thatcher, for whom Howard has only slightly less of a hard-on than he does for George Bush and the Queen of England.

If you check Hansard there's a great insult directed at Howard explaining how sanctions worked to end apartheid. How can you come back from that?
Easy.
Wave thousands of dollars at people then warp the economy so they become dependent on your fucking hand outs.
