Christopher Pearson, a writer for The Weekend Australian and former speechwriter for John Howard, has been paid $11,364 to write speeches for Alexander Downer, a fact which, according to the SMH, is not disclosed in his byline.
Hardly surprising, but still scummy.

But disclosing such a thing would make it hard for him to wank on about foreign policy topics and indeed any topics he wrote for downer on.
