From the SMH:
In an interview with the BBC, Mr Carter talked about Tony Blair, the outgoing British Prime Minister, and his relationship with Mr Bush, calling it "loyal, blind, apparently subservient".
"I think that the almost undeviating support by Great Britain for the ill-advised policies of President Bush in Iraq have been a major tragedy for the world," Mr Carter said.
In a telephone interview with the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Mr Carter said: "I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this Administration has been the worst in history."
And in today's other news, the sky is blue.

Yeah that made me laugh too. Carter is a terribly polite man. So to have said something at all says a lot.
Mind you Bush's approval rating is about 28% so most people agree with him I'd hazard.
I remember seeing a clip where Blair is asking (almost begging) for permission to go to the Middle East and GWB brushes him off with 'Let Condi go'.
How can someone as bright as Blair be so subservient?
