Last election John Howard presented his policy of a tiger proof cage for every Australian. He coupled this with a strong campaign, asserting that tiger attacks have been historically lower under Coalition governments than under Labor governments. He also promised to work hard to maintain this lower incidence of tiger attack. The opposition was caught flat footed by Howard's boldness and failed to offer a comprehensive policy of their own to protect Australians from tiger attacks. They were only able to counter that tiger attacks had been frequent at times under Coalition governments as well. They promised that no one would need to worry about tiger attacks because they had many other policies and life would be so good under them that it wouldn't even be a problem. The Australian electorate saw straight through this tissue of misinformation and voted for Howard and his strong policy to defend Australians from tigers.
This election Labor has a new leader and a new policy. Kevin Rudd has pledged to provide every Australian worker with a warthog proof cage and pledge that under a Labor government warthog attacks will be kept to a very minimum. The Coalition counter that protecting Aussie workers from warthog attacks will actually increase the likelihood of tiger attacks! Big business has also attacked Rudd's policy saying that the bars on the cages are too thick and it's not like they have an army of warthogs ready to attack or anything. That squealing is just happy workers. So! The question is to be decided! Are Australian voters more scared of tigers or warthogs? I have no doubt they will make the right choice.

Well Warthogs are rated as "Least Concern" for extinction threat. And Tigers are rated "Endangered". Ergo there are more warthogs than tigers and therefore more chance of warthog attack on pure numbers - though the agressiveness of the tiger should not be overlooked.
i should have mentioned that the opposition leader before rudd had a policy of building tiger cages that also protected australians from mutant tiger attacks. sadly he was rejected by voters who were quite satisfied with protection from regular tigers thank you very much.
