Green Junior High for Lawrence King, 15.It says a lot about the US as a country when one of the country's pre-eminent newspapers publishes a report on the classroom shooting murder of a 15 year old gay boy by a 14 year old boy and not once in the report is anyone asking about where the 14 year old got hold of a gun.
When are they going to learn?

Mainstream news coverage of Larry King's murder is pathetic, as is the absence of public officials willing to stand up and condemn anti-gay violence and pledge to uphold the safety of at-risk students. The origin of the weapon, the unwillingness of school officials to properly respond to the situation, the refusal of the Oxnard P.D. to intervene when they had prior notification of the imminent threat - these are all legitimate questions that demand to be answered.
Poor America. Such great ideals. So poorly done in practice.
