Magic Bellybutton tagged us for a 'Thinking Blogger' award- very nice of you to think of us, Magic :) Nice to discover another Brisbane blogger, too.
I'm not sure we're capable of participating properly unless Gam is able to list a couple of blogs that he reads regularly, because two of my favourite 'thinking' blogs (Mikey and Larry) have already been tagged. Babycatcher is a great blog, and if the content on that isn't enough to make a person think then I don't know what is. I'm not going to tag her, though, because it's infrequently updated due to the fact that she has a real life and probably needs to spend her blogging time on things that are a lot more important than a meme.
I'm nominating
1) Patrick- he hasn't posted much in a while (real life taking precedence over blogging), but there's a whole lot of material in his archives that's bound to start your brain ticking over.
2) Rach- for both her personal blog and Lenman's blog. Her stuff is not conventionally thought-provoking (in the serious, staid sense), but I love her creativity and sense of humour- maybe I'm nominating Rach more for the thought that goes into making her blogs seem so effortlessly entertaining than any thought that her posts provoke.
3) Anthony- Meryl Streep movies and US politics. Neither are things I regularly take the time to look at in-depth, but his posts often prompt me to do so.
Gam nominates:
4) Antiwar.com blog
5) Whatever it is, I'm against it
I'm not going to bother chasing anyone around with tags though- if anyone mentioned above wants the little 'Thinking Blogger Award' doobie on their blog, feel free to do up one of these posts. Although I must say, I prefer reading peoples' regular posts, so if anything I'd prefer that you ignored the meme and used your time to produce more of the usual fare :)
The Thinking Blogger rules are as follows:
1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with 5 blogs that make you think
2. Link to this post so that people can find the exact origin of the meme.
3. Optional: Poudly display the "Thinking Blogger Award" with a link to the post that you wrote (there is a silver version if gold doesn't fit your blog).
4. Your chosen blogs cannot have been previously awarded.

Meryl Streep and US Politics. Hehe, accurate enough I guess. But other subjects get an odd mention too, folks, so do visit! Thanks for the nomination.
I would create a 'Thinking Blogger' post, but there aren't five blogs in total that I visit regularly, I'm afraid.
Shucks Sarah, thanks!
I wouldn't have five either, at least not have that I don't regularly mention...
